This morning it suddenly stopped working.

Really don't feel buying a new monitor

Solution
LOL.
it must have heard my prayer !
I removed the power cable completely and plug it back again.
Bang, it is back to alive !

I actually wasited my whole morning removing everything from the MO and plug everything back in, only to realize it is monitor problem !
Many times if it has an internally based power supply, that can go bad, thus the whole monitor goes down. I had a monitor just go down too. We had a power outage in the area and when the power blew out due to high winds, everything else came back up except the monitor.... Of course, this monitor was 15 years old...

High quality monitors can easily last for 15+ years, they don't really break down. If you have a soldering iron you should be able to repair a good amount. Number one thing to look for is capacitors with bulging tops or resistors with wear. It's very easy to buy a replacement and solder it back in. If you don't notice any damage there's not much you can do.

Some common things to go in a computer monitor.

-Power supply as mentioned above. Capacitors tend to go first. Sometimes replacing them fixes it.
-Ballast or bulbs for CFL base monitors. The CFL light source only lasts so long. 5 years would be a bit short from what I have seen. My CFL screen has have many hours over the last 8 years. If your screen still powers up, but stays black your backlight may have gone. Capacitors go in this section of the power board as well.
