It really shouldn't matter which games it is (except maybe Dolby Atmo's, haven't used it before), it comes down to your hardware. If you select 7.1 on your PC/sound card (and assuming you have a 7.1 system wired up to a 7.1 output), you will get true virtual surround sound on the large majority of games. As a general rule, any first/third person games will have surround sound and top down games MIGHT use surround sound for music.
Dolby Digital sound is a more theatrical type of surround sound supported by only some games and does require Dolby certified equipment to use.
