Is there a noteworthy difference between these two kits?

So, I'm trying to decide between these to memory kits that are really similar and I'm wondering if there's any differences that I'm not seeing, that I should be aware of.

Kit # 1

Kit # 2

They should both be compatible with my motherboard based on what I've read but just in case, this is my motherboard.

So I was hoping that someone might be able to tell me what difference (other than the obvious difference in heat spreaders) there might be between the two.

I'd also like to know if anyone sees a compatibility issue that I'm missing.

Third and finally, if anyone has any suggestions for a different kit with similar specs I'd like to hear about those as well.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

They both look compatible - looks like the style of the heatspreaders are the only difference. The RAM is close to the CPU. If you are adding an aftermarket CPU heatsink/fan, you'll want to verify that it will clear the heatspreaders on the RAM.

You may want to consider using 1600 RAM, but the ones you've chosen have good latencies; most of the 1600 RAM latencies are 9-9-9-X.
