I was just wondering if there would be a difference between two boards made by the same company with the same chipset.... one being listed as "Green" comapred to one that is not. I speaking of the new Asus boards...Asus (P5N32-E-Sli-Green) nForce 680I Sli PCI and some are listed and do not say Green.

Of course then there is the Striker Board which is out of my price range so I won't mention it!

So... Does being Green slow you down?? Make the board less reliable in some way??

Thanks All!

I would say no. (IMO)

Being 'green' just refers to the products being made environmentally friendly. ie no lead, mercury etc. It's a good thing. 8)

From ASUS:
ROHS and Operating System
GreenASUS
The motherboard and its packaging comply with the European Union's Restriction on the use of Hazardous Substances (RoHS). This is in line with the ASUS vision of creating environment-friendly and recyclable products and packaging to safeguard consumers' health while minimizing the impact on the environment.
