Is there a problem in keeping a new processor inside the box for a relatively long time?

I just received my Core i5-7400 yesterday, however, the motherboard and RAM will only arrive on February 27.

I know this question sounds very silly, but will keeping that processor unopened and unused for 3 days cause any form of damage to it?

This is my first ever Intel CPU.

Solution
If you are talking about a retail packaged intel or AMD CPU
It can survive years without damage

The risks only start when you open the inner package containing the CPU chip

The main risks are static and dropping the cpu or trying to force it into a socket with the wrong number of pins
(1156/1155/1150 & 1151 sockets look similar)
