Question is there a program that converts videos without corrupting them?

because format factory 2.95 was stable, but 3.00 started to become unstable and gave errors even though I converted everything, but when I opened it I saw that the video wasn't going to the end of the video, as if it was corrupted.

I've used Free Video Editor 1.4.13 build 805 successfully for several years.

There are newer versions; unknown how well they work.

Just simple conversion? For example from avi to mp4 with h265? Maybe change resolution and remove borders around the video?

Handbrake would be my choice.

My personal choice is Avidemux. It does much the same as Handbrake but have a different interface.
