Is there a successor to ryzen 1800x in the ryzen 2 line of cpu's ?

2700x is the top of the line for the upcoming release. At least this is what all the publications are saying. Let me walk this back a bit. There are 2 camps as far as the 2800x is concerned. https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/amd-ryzen-2800x.239575/

Others however are saying this is the work of a troll.

They are not necessarily "holding out" a 2800X at all, thats complete speculation.

The reality is they consolidated their product line for the next generation. This is a good thing for AMD and consumers, as the yields they are getting on their chips means they can guarantee most top line CPUs can maintain a certain performance level. The previous Ryzen line having 3 different 8 core/16 thread chips was due to their uncertainty in the yields from the foundries.

I don't understand what an 8 month old video has to do with the question?

There is no way to know what Threadripper 2 will be like, there has been 0 leaks or anything else. Being its based off Ryzen dies, a 200 or so mhz bump is a given, along with the added features that the new Ryzens have, thats all we could ever know so far.

sorry was a lil offtopic . i asked people here before about TR they said it's only for workstations . the guy in that video says it can be used in desktops too .

OK , sorry about the off topic . i was wondering what the TR2 will be like .
