[SOLVED] Is there a way i could increase the RAM capacity of my Macbook Pro 2012?

Hi there, my laptop has become unusually slow in the past few days but sadly you can't increase the RAM since there is no space. Is there anyway i could get around this?

Normally, you can't mod a macbook. So no, you can't upgrade your RAM

Normal Macbook Pros of that vintage can be upgraded (more RAM). There is an official list here of which models this applies to and how much RAM they support: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201165 A good source of reliable modules is Crucial.

The memory on the Retina models is soldered to the logic board, so they cannot be upgraded (without replacing most of the insides).
