Is there a way to automatically mark all .GIF files in a folder containing over 2,500 pictures?

I have a folder with pictures and gifs that combine a little bit over of 2,500 files, I want to organize it and just cut out all of the .GIF files and put it in the seperate folder, it would be really a hassle if I need to do this manually, is there a way just to open my folder and somehow mark all of the files with a .gif extension and cut them out in one shot?

Solution
Open up the folder you have your images in and then type this in your search bar ".GIF" and hit enter. This will make windows explorer search for all the .GIF files in the folder and display them for you. Then once the search is complete, select them all and copy it where ever you want.

The following image shows where you should type .GIF in.
