So I must have done this when my PC was broken and was testing it out, and since fixing it I've just remained on the same User, only just now realised what the user is actually called and its kind of annoying. is there a way to change this without having other things mess up in the process as i saw a while ago about changing a directory can mess other things up?

Is this "fff" a local account?
If so, just make a new one, and start using that.
I think so? Wouldnt all the stuff i have on this account on my desktop then go and not be on my new account tho? also how do i go about logging into an admin account and using that as my main? or isnt that a normal thing to do?

The first user you created on this system is an Admin account.
Presumably you know what that is?

And yes, the data on the desktop that belongs to "fff" will not be readily available from a new account.

But your Admin account can take ownership of those files, and put them in a place accessible to the new user.

You may be in a bad place with applications, though. Some may need a reinstall.

Your fffff account probably already is administrator account.
You can check in Control Panel\Users

Create another account with proper username and
copy user files from old account to new one.

You have to use Command Prompt in elevated mode.
In regular mode certain privileges are denied.

Yep my account im on now signed into my microsoft account, which also says Administrator is the only account on the list when i open up what you sent up there on control panel.

how do i copy things over to a new user? from the file explorer and going into users and going into the fffff user and copying stuff to the new user?

How do i properly make a new account which has Admin priv and that i can also log in with my same Microsoft account as what im logged into now on the current account im using? Do i sign out of my Microsoft account im on now? and then make a new user and then sign in with the same Microsoft account?

1. Create a new local account with proper name (not microsoft account).
Settings/Accounts/Other Users
2. Change account type to Admin
Settings/Accounts/Other Users/Change Account Type -> Administrator
3. Login with new account and copy user files from old profile to new profile
c:\users\ffff\desktop ;documents; downloads; favorites; music; onedrive; pictures; videos; Saved Games
copy to c:\users\new name\
I do not recommend copying other folders than listed above.
4. After you have copied everything, login into old account and switch account type to local.
Settings/Accounts/Your Info/Sign in With Local Account Instead
5. Logout from old account and sign in with new account and change account type to online account
Settings/Accounts/Your Info/Sign in With Microsoft Account Instead

thank you,

now there is obv 2 logins when i start my computer up, i changed the old one to "Admin" So that i can have the new one as my actual name. is there any way i can now delete that other one and make this one i have now as my main? i noticed when i go into "other users" in account settings there is an option to remove and change account type... what happens if i remove?
