[SOLVED] Is there a way to connect a GPU to my motherboard

I have a Supermicro X7DVL-E server motherboard. I would like to connect a GPU to it. I have a spare mining riser kit, Could i connect that to my motherboard

If the mining riser kit connects to a PCI-Ex8/x4/x1 slot, then you could use that in either of the PCI-Ex8 slots on the motherboard.

i connect mining riser to x8 slot,when i connect the display cable to the GPU there is no image on my display..what can i do?

Monitor plugged into gpu and correct input on monitor chosen? Set PEG or other for the pcie x8 slot to be primary graphics adapter in bios?

Manual says:

Primary Video Adapter

This setting allows you to select the primary video display device at bootup. Select Onboard to use the onboard video device as your primary display device at bootup. The options are Other and Onboard.
