I have nzxt s340 black and i got 2 fans with it. Fans are 3 pins and my b350-f strix has just 4 pin. I know that i need pwm fan( or whatever is that called) if i want to controll speed but is there way to controll speed of 3 pin fan? I dont want fans to run 100% it is loud

Solution
Some motherboards are smart enough to detect that a fan is a 3 pin voltage controlled fan as compared to a 4 pin pwm controlled fan.
Check your motherboard manual to see if this is so for you.

If not controlled a 3 pin fan runs at full speed and 12v.
You can use a low noise adapter cable to reduce the speed by lowering the voltage to 5 or 7 volts.

Check the advanced menus in your motherboard bios.
There may be a section on fan control.
