Is there a way to increase the playback volume from my mic?

Hello I currently use these Steelseries v2 headphones and it generally performs fine although I can barely hear myself so I sometimes get too loud and everyone in my house can at times easily hear me. I know that there's the playback volume thing in the Realtek audio manager but its rather quiet and doesnt help much. I also know that theres the "listen to your device" option too but the feedback I get from it is very painful and I also hear it like a half second after I talk. Is there software or hardware that I can get to allow me to hear myself better?

If it's turned up in the headphones software, is it turned up in the game? I ask because I just changed my mic on my desk, and I know there is a voice option in TF2. Check Steam/Origin/game for mic/voice controls and adjust them as needed.

Go to Control Panel, Sound, Recording, select microphone and click properties. Click on levels and set your microphone level and microphone boost. That should do it.
