Motherboard: ASUS H81M-PLUS
Graphics Card: ASUS GTX 750 TI OC 2GB GDDR5
RAM: VENGEANCE LP 2X4GB 1600MHZ DDR3
Processor: Intel core i5-4690K at 3.50GHZ
PSU: 650W

My computer seems to act slow, like clicking other applications. The install speed is slow. I haven't made any changes through the BOIS. I had built this computer and it's my first one. I need directions or any tips on making installs, opening applications multi tasking much quicker. My games run great, but I think I could make them run better.

Is there another way like overclocking my CPU?

Higher clockspeed doesn't help in opening the programs etc.

Get an SSD, it will help a lot.

I would like to keep my Hard drive. So what actually effects the speed of applications multi tasking an so on?

SSD and RAM. But getting, for example, 1866Mhz, 2100Mhz or 2333Mhz RAM won't make a noticeable difference.
Even 1600Mhz DDR3 and 2800Mhz DDR4 don't yet have noticeable difference. Except in stuff like WinRAR compiling etc.

Definitely biggest playing factor is a hard drive.
CPU speed and amount of cores plays a small part as well, but mostly it's about how strong the cores are in the computing.

Your only choices are:
1. Deal with it
2. Get an SSD
(if disk defragmentation doesn't help and you don't want to try OS reinstall.)
