Is there a way to manually update Directx?

Hey guys..i work overnights and there are some games that I want to play to pass the time, but I never can do that because i get a message that my directx isnt updated.

Since I cant install a updated version normally (it requires admin rights that I dont have) I ask y'all: It is possible to take the folder where directx is installed on my home pc and transfer it to my work pc, updating it without using an executable?

If it is possible, which folder(s) should I replace?

I dont know if I have some admin rights, but I made some changes in the windows folder (copied/renamed and erased files and got no error). It seems that I have at least some admin rights.

Could you tell me which files would I have to update?

You need to download and install the directx update utility from Microsoft (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35). It will automatically check and update any files needed, you shouldn't manually edit files in windows folder.
