Is there a way to not have control z delete pics and stuff?

Im a student and learning graphic design. a problem im having is i hit control z a lot in my editing programs(indesign, illustator) and if the program isn't active than it pretty much deletes my last folder in windows. lost over 100 pfo images to it once and had to put an extra hour of hardwork in to get that back.

anyways this has to chage lol. any suggestions on maybe disabling control z or have it not delete files and junk in windows?

I've never heard Windows act in the way you're describing.

That said, Ctrl+Y usually is redo.

EDIT: If you moved files into there, Ctrl+Z will move them back to the original location. If you copied them, Ctrl+Z will show a "Are you sure you want to permanently delete this file?" box.

what it does it delete my newest folder and so all the images get deleted too. redoing it doesn't restore teh pics
