Is there a way to set apps on my android tablet to lock up and be unable to use after a year?

So I am tutoring some kids and am looking to give them a HD fire 6 each with a few ebooks that I have pre-installed on it from the kindle app. The thing is, I want either the kindle app or the ebooks themselve or the account use to download the books to lock up after a year so they can no longer be used. Is that at all possible?

I'm not sure how well that would work mainly because you're giving them each access to material that you downloaded yourself. Obviously that's why you're wanting to lock/remove the app, but I imagine it's similar to burning CDs and giving them to friends (piracy laws blah blah). Because the app is tied to your account, your account would be active on those devices. While they might have a password requirement on them for every purchase, there could always be the possibility they figure out how to make a purchase or even a reorder. Again, I'm not aware of any way to disable an app over time and I haven't looked into any remote technology to know if you could remote on to a tablet and remove apps, but I would say the chances of that working are more slim. The only other possibility I can think of off hand that goes down that path is to use a new account that they all have access to and disable it later. Again I don't know the legality of something like that though.

I dont know if http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TSUGXKE/ref=s9_acss_bw_hsb_TB15SEP3_s1_s?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-2&pf_rd_r=1MXJW7N5JKT13MK1B777&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=2223430982&pf_rd_i=1232597011 would be a better starter tablet for them or not, but if you haven't bought the tablets yet, I also heard that there is a deal you can get for buying 6 or more at a time. It would be a cheaper tablet and would allow you to use some of the savings to give them amazon giftcards to buy books with. Just a thought as the amazon account could be put under their name (and without a credit card they could only get more things with giftcards) or it could be done with their parents so more books could be bought with their help in the future.
