Is there a way to set audio settings per software?

Hi everyone,

So I'm using a Asus Prime Z370-A Mobo with a Logitech Z313 speakers. As I'm using my PC for gaming, music listening and movies, I have to constantly adjust the audio settings(EQ and other settings) which is kinda annoying. So I want to know is there a way maybe a software or something that I can use to edit the audio settings once, save them and tie to different applications so that the settings will change automatically when I run the corresponding software.

Any help will be great. Thanks

Hi, try SoundVolumeView. It's freeware from NirSoft.
https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/sound_volume_view.html
It lets you save "sound profiles" so you can get the volumes how you want when listening to music, and save a music profile. Same for movies, etc. Then go back and load the profiles at any time. It works (in my limited testing... of the last 5 minutes) but I wish it ran in the tray and allowed you to quickly set different profiles. It doesn't.

There may be "better" programs out there. I tried several others but just couldn't them to work. "Volume2" looked promising but failed when I set up a simple task to lower volume to 50% when Notepad is run.

More ideas from others are welcome.

Hi gardenman, thank you for the reply. I did checked out the programs you have mentioned but they are not the ones I'm looking for. I need a software similar to 'Asus Sonic Suite 3'. I can't use it because it is only available for ROG Mobos.

My apologies, for some reason I was thinking of volume and not EQ settings.

I see a download for it, for your motherboard on the ASUS site.
https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/PRIME-Z370-A/HelpDesk_Download/
It's under the Utilities section on the Downloads page. It says:
Version 3.00.13 2018/01/16146.47 MBytes
ASUS AI Suite 3

and you are sure it's not compatible with your board?

I looked it up and found others with the similar questions.
https://pcpartpicker.com/forums/topic/264734-asus-sonic-studio-3-alternative-or-compatible-hardware-recommendation
I'm not sure if Suite 3 and Studio 3 are the same thing or not.

Suite 3: https://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1012780/

As far as alternatives to Sonic Suite 3, it doesn't look like they're many good options.

I'm assuming you have a RealTek card installed:

AI Suite and Sonic Suite are two different software packages and they have separate installers. I already have AI Suite installed and Sonic Suite is not in it. To my knowledge Sonic Studio only comes for Asus ROG boards hence I can't use it. I can install it but I don't get the full functionality from it.

I'm using onboard sound that came with the MoBo. But like you said I didn't see many good alternatives out there but I'm digging in more.
