Every time I open the page, it's always asking me if I want to get Windows notifications from TomsHardware. And any time I try to middle click a link the first time each day (I open up a tab for each review/article I'm interested in writing), it's asking me to sign up for the newsletter. These are annoying and I find myself coming to TomsHardware more and more out of annoyance. Is there a way to get these things to stop?
It'd be great if someone could tell me how to block all sites asking me if I want Windows 10 notifications from their sites.

Solution
there is a cookie from tom's hardware that is supposed to tell tom's you have already seen the newsletter pop-up. if it is deleted or expires or is otherwise missing, then tom's thinks you have not seen it and shows it to you. over and over and over.

somehow this cookie is not working for you. try clearing all the cookies for tom's hardware and then re-open your browser. this may reset the cookie for you. i don't know what the cookie settings are for your browser. i don't even know what your browser is. from what i learned looking into this before, the cookie may need to be added to an exemption list so it does not get deleted.

also noticed that adblock plus may be part of the issue. not 100% but switching to something like ublock...
what browser are you using? each one has a different way to go about it.

simply google "stop win 10 notifications in ______ browser" instructions will pop up :)

the newsletter pop-up is a cookie related one. if it comes back every time then you have the cookie being deleted or expiring real quick or something similar. i had the same issue until a fresh install undid whatever it was i had done to keep that cookie fro doing its job. i think it is a 3rd party one and it needs to be added to your 3rd party cookie exception list.

okay, I think I got the notifications taken care of on this computer. Hopefully I can remember how to do it with the others, lol.
As for the cookies, not sure I follow. I've never changed any of the cookie settings on any of my computers. I've clicked okay when Tom's site mentioned about the cookie policy, but I still get that notification every day when I come on Tom's website (www.tomshardware.com) and as soon as I click on the first link, even middle click, it pops up asking me to sign up for the news letter. What's really annoying is that I middle click to open a new tab and when it pops up, it doesn't let me open the new tab, but navigates to that page instead after I close the pop up window. Then I have to go back and re click on it all over again.

Meth Geeks answer "simply google "stop win 10 notifications in ______ browser" instructions will pop up :)" works if you know what your browser is, (i.e. mine is Google. most folks would be internet explorer, mozilla, avg, etc) And you use some logic since every step isn't exactly the same or actually shown but you can find the step after since some update has removed the named step because some programmers cant just leave well enough alone. And I certainly hope this makes Tomshardware taking over my bottom right screen go away. since with a copy/paste I was able to change them from allowed to blocked. Hope the Geek has a sense of humour.

Honk if you like paranormal exploitation...
