I am using dual displays which is basically no SLI/crossfire support ):
and the question I have is... is there a way to lock the desktop icons on the secondary displays? it keeps being blocked by the stuff I have on primary (and I am pretty much stuck to run games from primary monitor, at least for most games)

moving those suckers to the secondary displays every boot is very annoying...

I believe you can do this with Nvidia's control panel, I don't know about ATI. There are also 3rd party apps like Ultramon that will let you control various things between the two displays.
