There are two versions of the Samsung 850 EVO, SATA 3 6Gb/s ssd. The new version is usually identified as 850 EVO V2. Both models use 3D V-Nand flash memory. In the original version the flash memory made use of 32 layers. The new version makes use of 48 layers. The new version of the 3D V-Nand allows for larger capacities in a small format.
I have recently bought the 500GB Samsung 850 EVO, and the box does say "Powered by 3D V-NAND technology". Doing an image search in Google shows this: https://www.google.es/search?q=samsung++850+evo+250GB&client=firefox-b-ab&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjp2JXUwKXNAhXFzRoKHb21B3MQ_AUICigD&biw=1920&bih=1131

All boxes have the Samsung logo on the top left corner. Samsung logo is "Samsung" over a blue ellipsoid. Your picture has Samsung, but not the Samsung logo. Not sure what to think, as packagings are not universal. If you are unsure, contact Samsung directly, you may have been selled a false drive, or maybe not. Let someone at Samsung India confirm this to you.
