Is there any way (program) to test my monitor?

I have an HP elitedisplay 231 and its well I havent read a single positive review about it I mainly use my pc for gaming and I am using it over DVI is there any program to test the color accuracy I mean when I watch a gameplay video on my phone the graphics are amazing when I run the same game on my pc it looks horrible I wanna know if thats normal or if its a flaw with my monitor like something's not working right inside it

im sure there are but i dont know what they would be. google "color accuracy program".
just wondering, what are your computer specs?

I have a core i5 6400 and a gtx 970 G1 gaming

hmm, not sure :/ id google for programs. they would most likely just display two images and have you notice differences though id imagine. i think for full testing, you need calibration hardware
