So I am buying a gaming pc and I am asking you guys if I should downgrade any of the components of the pc because I want to make it cheaper. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GRv4tJ
At 1440 rez the Ryzen 1600 I've chosen comes very close to Intels offerings: https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Intel/Core_i3_8350K/ but if you check the 1080 numbers you'll see Intel is a better choice if you're after maximum frame rates.
Some notes:
Really the monitor choice is key here.
At 1080 rez you want to go Intel for maximum frame rates or you can sacrifice some performance and cut the bill by opting for the R5 1600.
At 1440 rez the call is far closer, with the cheaper R5 1600 right behind the more expensive Intel parts, the downside is that a higher rez display costs more so what you save going for an AMD build will be spent on the monitor.
Neither build has a SSD for reasons of cost cutting but I'd really advise that one is included in the final build-whatever it is-they make the whole machine feel faster and more responsive.
