My new GPU and PSU are here!

This is my first upgrade and I'm nervous. I'm going to where there is no carpet. I have all the tools I need.

Is there any advice anyone can give me before I shut down and get it done? Is there BIOS changes that I need to do? Oh god... I'm nervous. lol

Solution
if your switching from amd to nvidia or a real newer gpu. boot into safe mode and remove the old video driver. some if you mb is a few years old check that your running the newest bios file. some mb and newer gpu do need bios updates or on power up you get a black screen and no post. as for replacing the power supply. rember most of the power supply cables are locked in with clips. you have to unlock the clips and pull up. pull cables off the hard drive and cd rom and mb first when the wires are unplugged then unscrew the power supply from the case. if it a tower case with the unit on top have someone hold the unit so it wont fall and smash the mb and damage it. the old gpu is held in with a clip. you have to unclip it and pull straight...

Thank you thank you... I bought the pc 7 months ago off the shelf and I'm going from Nvidia to a better Nvidia. I checked for a mobo bios update and found none. Thanks for the advice on someone else helping but I will be alone and just do it carefully.

I watched a bunch of videos on doing the mechanical part of this... Gonna do it as soon as I finish my after-dinner coffee. OO
