I'd like to buy the PowerColor RX 550 4G GDDR5 LP AXRX 550 4GBD5-HLE and apply it to my Hewlett-Packard 304Bh motherboard. I'd like to know if there is any reason it could not work.(Just to make sure before buying it).

If your bios is not UEFI that amd card won't work. The last amd cards to work on legacy bios were the R5/7/9 series. On top of that, as said in the posting, many of those low-end pre-built motherboards around that Era had a 25w limit on the pcie slot, not the standard 75w limit, making many higher end gpus not work. That was done purposely because the original pre-built had a very small cheap psu and a 75w pcie would put it over its power limits.

The manual for the particular model that motherboard came in should have all pertinent details as to what will work.
