[SOLVED] Is there anything wrong using PCIE to M2 adapter, and connect it on my second PCIE slot (which i think is PCIE 2 and not 3..) ..?

Hi, I just found a nice deal for 1TB M2 but its 110mm and not 80mm.. So what I thought about is just getting an adapter like this

My motherboard is ASUS Prime B350 Plus , I think the second PCIE is slower than my primary PCIE slot because few days ago I connected my gpu to the second slot instead primary slot and the performance went down.. So maybe it will not fit the ssd properly cause it meant to be for PCIE 3 and not PCIE 2...? Please help me and excuse my ignorance

from what I understand its 2 slots both PCIE2 but one with 16x and one with 4x.. so i just want to make sure it will fit properly because the adapter title is cleary mentioned 4X adapter

Your motherboard supports 110mm long M.2 drives too.
So - there's no need for that adapter (unless you want to install multiple M.2 drives).

First PCIE x16 depends on cpu installed. It can be PCIE 3.0 x16, x8 or x4. Since you haven't specified your cpu, not possible to answer, what mode is available.

Second PCIE x16 slot is PCIE 2.0 x4 mode. It's slower than PCIE 3.0 slot.
