Since you seem to be OK with mail in rebates I went and reworked some things to get you more bang for your buck and was able to replace the 1070 with a RTX 2060(faster than the 1070). I did change the case as it is still nice and costs less and the included fans will be fine for the system. I changed the 2,5" SSD for the M.2 version(easier install less cables to mess with). Swapped the PSU foir the Corsair RMx which is just as good as the G2 and Seasonic Focus but with the sale and mail in rebates it currently costs less.

Get faster ram. Ryzen needs fast ram for optimal performance you want atleast DDR4 3000 in dual channel.

Get a better quality PSU.

I made some changes, faster ram, better quality PSU, different motherboard(better VRM setup) and a better cpu cooler

The PSU is an extremely important part and a very bad place to skimp. That 600w EVGA BQ is made by Andyson whom has one of the worst reputations in the PSU business(they make alot of abysmal quality garbage). A good 550w will be fine for a 2070 or 1080.

I built this assuming you live in america, and also assuming you DON'T live in either New York or New Jersey because B&H doesn't charge the taxes outside of those two places so the price you see is the price you pay.

And with that in mind, the only thing you will pay taxes on in this build is $320, and assuming the tax rate where you live is 10%, that would be an additional $32 on top of the price listed below which puts it under the $1000 mark out of pocket for everything in the list.

I don't see it having worse temps than the mess of a case you originally picked that cost more.

And the one I picked has proper support for a 240mm AiO if you decide you want to upgrade to one in the future.


I forgot that the p300 only comes with one fan, and you aren't using an AiO, so you'll need to buy additional 120mm fans.
2 for the front and one for the top for maximum airflow.

Here is the exact fan that the case comes with.

Should buy at least 1 so you can mount it along with the one in the case together at the front for intake.

Buying the additional two can be done whenever you have the funds.

sure. why not. it's going to cost you more money than you would've paid with my build but whatever your preference.

Just to let you know, you pay taxes on pretty much everything in that build along with the fact that you don't see the savings from the mail in rebates until after you mail them in, so your out of pocket costs are going to be over $1000.

That motherboard has weaker VRMs and costs more than the ASrock Pro4. The EVGA G2 and the Seasonic Focus are both better options than the Seasonic EVO. Why did you change the case there was nothing wrong with the H500 in the original build, it came with 2 fans so there's wasn't a big need to add more fans of the bat. IMHO that extra $50 could be better spent elsewhere on the system.

Also the CPU cooler and motherboard have been chosen to allow for some overclocking. If you have no plan to OC then you could save money by using the stock cpu cooler that comes with the cpu. I'd still stick with a motherboard with a decent VRM setup though.
