Hey Guyz !
I have a (720p)1280x1024@60/75Hz Monitor.
And i Observed that my FPS in Games wont go up Than 91,it's Fixed.
Is this True that i can't get More FPS with a 75Hz Monitor ?

Solution

No that isn't true. It is true the monitor only refreshes the screen 60/75 p/s. However the GPU can send images with an FPS number that well exceeds the monitors refresh rate. Because of that the monitor will need to drop frames and can result in multiple frames being seen at the same time. That's known as screen tearing. The 91FPS is due to a hardware or software limitation apart from your monitor. Vsync forces the GPU to play nice with the monitor. That would mean that with vsync on your gpu will "sync" with the monitor and won't send any more...
monitor had nothing to do with limiting ur fps
but the refresh rate does correlate with fps, if your fps exceed the refresh rate, it won't had any difference in your gameplay (75hz refresh rate with 80 fps / 90 fps yield same result as 75 fps since that's the maximum of what ur monitor can give u)

That would mean that with vsync on your gpu will "sync" with the monitor and won't send any more or less than 60 or 75 fps(depending on your other settings) FPS which avoids screen tearing. It however isn't a cureall. Just because vsync is on it won't help when the GPU can't keep up with the refresh rate of the monitor. If it's weak, it's a weak card. You can then move "up" to adaptive sync. Freesync for AMD GPUs and G-sync for Nvidia based GPUs. Google knows a lot about those 3 ways of helping your monitor and GFX card get along the best they can.

Vsync would tie you to a maximum of 75FPS, that's the only way the monitor can contribute to a framerate cap.

Some features in the graphics driver can limit your FPS (whether to 91FPS or some other number), maybe you have something like that enabled.

Or in the game they have a frame rate limiter for certain parts like the menu, etc, etc.
