Is there more ThinkPad T50 and T70 system board models?

I am ordering new laptop from Lenovo's website and I don't want to pay extra for their overpriced RAM and SSD options. Instead, I want the most basic configuration and do the upgrading myself. Am I going to get different (worse) system board or other components if I don't spec the computer for two M.2 drives and 32 gigs of ram off the shelf?

Motherboards should all be the same, they just won't have the items installed. You can be sure by contacting Lenovo sales though, going to the source is always better than 3rd party info.
