Is there much of a difference between 3440x1440 and 3440x1600?

I am going to buy an ultrawide curved display and found two monitors:

The LG 34UC98 and the new LG 38UC99, the only difference being they have different resolutions of 3440x1440 and 3440x1600 but is the 3440x1600 worth the extra money??

Thanks

it's actually 3840x1600 resolution. this is a difference of almost 1,200,000 pixels if you compare it to the 3440x1440 UC98 monitor. so i'd say, yeah its, going to be quite a difference in frame rates in games. it's a larger monitor so the pixels-per-inch might be about the same. i didn't do the math

You are a little off. The 99 is a 3840x1600 screen which is a significantly higher resolution but still close to 21:9 ratio. Basically it is ultra-wide 4K or UHD.

If you can run it, maybe. Or if you need the screen real estate.

I will probably be going for the 3440x1440 monitor as it is quite a bit cheaper and I wouldn't need to be worrying about big name titles being incompatible with 3840x1600.

Thanks
