Is there something wrong with my PC?

So, I recently bought my XFX HD 7850 DD Edition 2GB (the one with 2 fans). It came with Far Cry 3. So, I installed Far Cry 3 and I'm quite confused on why it doesn't run very well... I get horrible FPS drops running even on medium @ 1080p resolution. I am inclined to think my CPU is bottle necking my game, but I don't think it would be an issue. I updated to the new beta drivers 12.11. Here is my system (the important stuff anyways):

GPU: XFX HD 7850 DD Edition 2GB VRam PCI-e 3.0
RAM: 12 GB Corsair Vengeance RAM
CPU: AMD Phenom II x6 Black Edition 1090t thuban
PSU: Antec Basiq Continuous Power @ 550W 80Plus

If it is my video card, I'm going to be quite sad considering I spent $224 on it at Newegg expecting it to run most current games.

I get really low FPS after Medium, which shouldn't be a problem since my PC meets the recommended requirements of the game. Help would be appreciated. Playing this game, almost makes me feel like I wasted $224.

Those drivers aren't even updated...they won't support my card.

Radeon 7k Series != Radeon HD 7k Series...

your 7850 on medium at 1920 x 1080 should give decent performance

say about 45fps average

so the issue probably isnt your graphics card

are you getting constant low fps or drops in fps now and then?

It seems no matter what setting i put it on other than Low, i get lag. I've seen and read that people are getting 60 FPS running at 1080p on high/very high. I just installed the beta driver, and I still don't see much of a difference.

I can confirm medium is running perfectly, but when i look in the direction of Towns, my FPS drops to 25-30

Yes. My monitor is a 1080p monitor. Yes. I reinstalled CCC and Drivers. Running in DX11.

no hes right--the omega drivers are aimed at much older hardware

have used them before for old windows xp laptops

omega drivers were good about 5 years ago but have long since stopped being updated when amd bought up ati. they are completely useless for todays dx11 cards as the programmer didnt continue development when his card became obsolete. yes you can still download them from guru3d but they are for people with 1950xtx and older gfx cards
there are no 3rd partys doing dev work on amd drivers. the best you can do is either use whql drivers or try the beta drivers.

It's off. I've seen all these benchmarks of this card doing perfectly fine. The only other thing I could think is it's being bottlenecked by my AMD Phenom ii x6 1090T Black Edition. I figured my CPU was still decent. Guess it's time to make the damn switch to intel.
