O.k.
First things first, this is not my first PC ( that one was easy ).

It has been a little while since then,

But for some reason repairing them, in conjunction with bad Ebay seller's, is causing some serious grievances as well as a drain on what little savings I had.
( Like I couldn't use some new teeth )

My question is this,

Would a DVD drive open normally by simply pressing the on button?
(All power cables, and sata cables are connected)

Also, wouldn't bios normally show up on screen connected to the motherboard?

It powers on fine, and all the lights are working.
The DVD drive and HDD are new, but the motherboard I bought was opened and through Ebay.

You should get the Bios screen when you turn it on. If you're not, reset the Bios by unplugging the power supply, removing the CMOS battery for five minutes or so and shorting the clear CMOS pins and or pressing the PC's power on switch (both with the CMOS battery still out.) Then put the battery back in, plug the PSU back in and see if it fires up. If it doesn't, there are some other troubleshooting steps you should take.

Is it possible it is a bad motherboard?

It is an A88XM-E, so are you referring to the RTC RAM pins ?

I was suggesting that resetting the BIOS to stock may allow it to boot if the previous owner had different hardware or settings. Is the processor supported or maybe needs a Bios flash? The DVD drive should open, but might be related to your other problem. Your manual should explain how to reset the Bios back to default.

Took the battery out. Do not think this motherboard even has a cmos, but you'r welcome to tell me different.

Just trying to find out if the motherboard I got was bad.

Thought the dvd drive was supposed to get power to be able to open it regardless of anything else.
If it wasn't, I think it is highly likely it is the motherboard.

Was also pointing out that it will not even show on the monitor. Through GPU or the HDMI that comes in the motherboard itself.
