Hi. I have been looking for a new monitor for a while but there just haven't been any good deals lately, no holidays I guess.

I have a 19" monitor at 1440x900 and want a new monitor at 1920x1080 because my old monitor can't record games at the proper youtube resolution.

I don't really care how big the monitor is as long as it has a 1920x1080 resolution. I'm trying to find one for $130 or less (only because I saw 23" monitors for so much cheaper before during some holidays but was too stupid to not buy one).

Do you guys think this monitor is good? It's by LG and has no reviews. There's some code that will make it $130.

or is this HP one better?

Or if you guys can find me a better one.

the HP kind of sucks... either get the LG or this: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/benq-monitor-gl2460hm the response time is faster, but to then you'd be sacrificing the IPS on the LG and the IPS brings better color reproduction. so either better production or a faster monitor. it depends on your recording content too. if it's fast paced, then you might like faster response on your monitor, but of it isn't fast paced, then go ahead and get the LG.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if response time on the monitor affects recorded videos in any way?

its just so you can have less lag from your mouse and keyboard to monitor, so for more pristine accuracy it goes to benq, but im gonna be honest, i doubt the human eye can see a 3 millisecond difference. if there is an effect it probably isnt going to be more than minimal.

(That's the newegg link with specs but on Amazon, it's $99.99)

Might get it as a cheap solution for 1920x1080.

that monitor seems pretty good, but for 100 bucks its a steal. you can probable save the left over money or get something else using the saved money.
