Aside from the fact that it seems you don't have a case, this looks fine assuming this is the best you can do for a computer budget. I wouldn't listen to the 2x4gb guy. There's a chance you'll want to pop another 8GB stick in there, which is why you chose the 1x8GB, although I would speculate you should be able to find a $50 1x8GB stick with 1866+ speed somewhere. Rock on.

this is the build in total without rebates i changed the psu HDD and the ram because that was what was wrong with this build and you are gonna have to invest in a psu that is better but 10$ does the trick for something reliable

1866 mhz ram do not work with a H81 mobo

and a dual channel is a bit better performer then a single ram ...above all if one ram stick fail ..he will be still able to run with only one good stick

Since the Mobo only have 2 Ram slot, should i really get 2x4GB? because if i want to upgrade it to 16GB i need to buy another 2x8GB ram.
Do i even need 16GB ram? or 8GB is enough? if 8GB is enough i will get 2x4GB.

16GB do uknow when u will need that 16GB when u buy an I7/Xeon and plan on Extreme vid editing lol

gaming 8GB is enough until the Next Gen of consoles (PS5)

game engines are almost always optimized for consoles so until the next 4 years u wont need more than 8GB of ram and by that time guess what u will need a New CPU/MOBO/GPU combo hell we might even get DDR4 ram on mainstream

if he is inexperianced it is a bad idea to try to even overclock he needs to know how a pc functions such as how to stress test, monitor temps, know what voltage and multipliers are

EDIT: nevermind i thought he was talking about a i3 wrong thread sorry

Why upgrade the PSU? the max draw for his whole rig is less than 200 watts. If anything 400 watts is already overkill. Regarding the motherboard, I'd take a look at The Asus Z87 Gryphon. Newegg has it for $120 with a 15% off coupon available, plus another $35 MIR. Much better Micro ATX motherboard for basically the same price.

i changed because the psu is garbage that's why ,they have a high failure rate and use cheap capacitors

You would be surprised how many people can use 16GB just by being a certain kind of user. For example my girlfriend who often runs several instances of SecondLife which can eat up 3GB each by itself, plus photoshop, a few dozen browser tabs, a few office apps, etc. Or my Dad who tends to have about a dozen different documents and applications open all the time and never cleans his Outlook inbox. Sometimes it's easier to just pop in 16GB of memory rather than try to get someone to change their computing habits.
