I've had the same ITX system for many years: GTX 980, Ryzen 5 1600, 8 GB RAM, 2 x 500 GB SATA drives, and a cheap LCD monitor. It's of course showing its age, but is still usable. Unfortunately the monitor gave out a few days ago. I can't afford a new, up-to-date system until the next generation of GPUs come out (maybe 5070?). Instead of spending $150-200 on a nice-ish 1080p IPS or VA monitor that might be useless if I upgrade to 1440p later, I wonder about buying this system locally from Craigslist (comes with a monitor) for $400. I'd appreciate any thoughts.
