If the Seasonic unit was defective, why not just RMA it and get a replacement unit...? Or perhaps add some more money and pick up a higher pedigree Seasonic PSU? The HX is a very old unit and I'd advise on not getting it in this day and age. If anything a TX unit would be a better prospect than the HX but it's a step below the Seasonic's.
