Is this a burn or permanent damage, is there any way to get rid of it?

I have this odd pruple streak going horizontally across a small section of the screen. It is only visible when the screen is displaying some black or very dark. Is there any way to fix this? I tried running jscreen fix for about 20 minutes but it made no difference.

I've found that the higher my brightness setting the more visible it is in contrast with the background, if I have the brightness set to lowest it's nearly invisible.

Can You snap it with some higher quality camera, and with macro on pixels? It looks like a burn, but burns are sometimes temporary [e.g. on Sony Vaio Duo 13] and sometimes it's a pack of bad pixels, acting wrong at certain voltages [viac which they interpret color rendering].

It's the only camera I have the graininess is due to the iso increasing when it detects black and I can't change it manually on this camera. For the record it's a monitor for a custom laptop (chillblast akira), I don't know if that helps. Assuming it is temporary are there any ways to remove it quickly? If not how long will it take to fade?

Assuming this is a pixel issue then, what would be a good course of action?

If it's a pixel issue, it's just another form of "permanent" damage I'm afraid. But sometimes, when You change frequency of Your LCD, it fixes similiar stuff, but I wouln't give it many chances. Try to revert from 60 Hz and go for 59 Hz, or try 65-70 Hz. It slightly changes pixlel clock, and see whether it moves away. How long did You have Your LCD turned off, or did You try it yet?

I turned it off for somewhere between 30 minutes and an hour. I'll turn it off when I go to sleep tonight and see how it is in the morning. If it's not worked then I have a warranty on it anyway that has me covered so I'l just get it replaced.
