Question Is this a dead pixel and can I do anything about it?

Just got a new laptop, it's got this annoying black spot on the screen. Is it a dead pixel and can I fix it without RMA?

Yes, if it stays there through different color changes it's a bad pixel. And no you can't fix them so RMA if you can. Some brands/models require 2 or3 so you'll have to check.

I'll try Jscreenfix, but since it's black I don't expect it to do anything. It's not really that bad, so will it be fine if I don't RMA or will it cause other issues?

Yeah, I find white pixels unbearable since I use Dark Mode but not as bad if black as is most common.
