Great build. I couldn't find anything I didn't like. As for the monitor, I like this one because it's ips, 1440p and has thin bezels.

Upon looking at it again Rm power supply have poor capacitors and the gtx 980 is a overpriced. Gtx 970 is much better value.

Thanks for the input and sorry bout the late reply. I have been busy. I didnt know that about the RM series power supply. Any suggestions for a good power supply?

Thanks for the help! I really dig that case. Its $50 dollars cheaper than the one i picked and just as cool.

MAny issues with the build:

CPU cooler is old. Change for the 212 EVO
RAM too tall and might interfere with cooler. Get low-profile RAM
HDD VERY slow. Change to a proper 7200RPM drive

the CPU is older but It performs exactly the same as the EVO, only about a 1c-3c difference.

If he only uses a single fan on his cooler the RAM shouldn't be a problem, but I would recommend some low profile if it isn't to much more in price.

The HDD is slow.

The 212+ is much more difficult to install and paste properly due to not having a flat bottom like the 212 EVO. The EVO is simple better for the same price. Absolutely no reason not to get it.

Low profile RAM should be LESS if anything.

Corsair RAM has and always will be overpriced for no reason. Avoid Corsair for everything except cases.
