Im building a gaming pc that is worth around $1050 CAD. (I play games such as Dayz, Stranded Deep, Subnautica, GTA 5) It's my first time building, so i was look for an expert view on my build. :)
CPU: AMD Athlon X4 860K 3.7GHz
Motherboard: Asus A88XM-A Micro ATX FM2+
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM
Graphics Card: PowerColor Radeon R9 270 2GB TurboDuo
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX

I was planning to run all of this on a ViewSonic VX2452mh 60Hz 23.6" Monitor using Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit)

Like i said, Im new to this. So if there is something i didn't point out that you have a question about. Ask :)

I'm not expert but the athlon's are a little bit outdated for gaming now, with that budget you could definitely get a better cpu for gaming. It will run DayZ fine and Gta V at medium settings well though. The athlon also doesnt really have a very good upgrade path either. Best to go with an i5 4590/4690k or fx 6300/8350 models. You could also definitely get a more powerful gpu with your budget
