I guess I should start by saying hey 😉
As the title says, I'm gonna be building a new PC in January... hopefully, and just wanted opinions, or any suggestions for other options, on the parts I'm thinking of getting, since I'm not so sure of what provides the best bang for the buck performance.
Everything below is merely a suggestion, so go ahead and do your best, and if you could take the time to explain to me why a specific component is of more use, then please do.
The PC is probably going to be used for AAA games, more CPU-based games like Minecraft, and probably rendering/recording.
Budget of approximately $1850 (£1190) - Can exceed slightly, but only if necessary.
I live in the UK, so parts must be able to be shipped.
This budget purely includes the tower and the Operating System, but can include peripherals if they can be purchased within the budget without sacrificing performance and/or future-proofness. Shipping and VAT should be incorporated into the budget.
I will want to Overclock, but it's not essential, so I would prefer a K model of the Intel series CPU's. (At the moment, I don't want to purchase any watercooling systems or AIO's.)
I will not be reusing any parts, but perhaps the Optical drive, should I ever need it.
It would be almost essential to have Windows 8.1 (64 bit) [or another Windows OS included in the budget].
Case-wise, I'd probably want something by either Fractal Designs, NZXT, or Corsair, but mainly CORSAIR 450D or CORSAIR 750D, unless anyone has some better options.
An SSD would be nice, and WD Blue/Black HDD for performance read/write speed.
Phanteks PH-TC12DX_RD or Noctua 120mm CPU cooler preferred, because I'm still skeptical about watercooling or AIO's.
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K Processor (Overclocking to 4.4 Ghz) [$335.99 / £215.88]

CPU Cooler: Phanteks PH-TC12DX+RD Dual 120mm PWM [$49.99 / 32.12]
Total: $1732.90 / £1113.48
Not included in budget, but just something to be debated:
Monitor: BenQ RL2455HM 24" 1080p resolution - 1ms response - 60hz refresh rate
Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Ultimate Stealth eSports edition - CLG
Mouse: Razer DeathAdder eSports Edition - CLG
Have fun coming up with some fun builds, and I hope that I can find a really nice one for my new setup. Love you all 😉
