This is my first build and the release of the new gtx 980ti intrigued me enough to ditch the gtx 970 sli, and opt for the single, more powerful, card. Due to the gtx 980ti being a new release I am not sure what the compatibility requirements for the rest of the system. Hopefully my build so far has no bottle necks. My budget is $2500, and if I am spending this kind of money I want to be 100% sure none of these parts will bottleneck the beast that is the 980ti.

Thanks in advance! :D :D

as said already get a better power supply. I would also encourage you to get the i7 - 4790k for a budget like this. the performance difference can be up to 30%.

Don't trust those who say BS like " i5 is enough for gaming". into a build like this with such a powerful gpu an i7 is much advised.

for a little proof:

this video is taken with an i7, but with HT off. but it still has more cache, so an i5 is even weaker. and this is only a 780ti.

myself i use a 4790( non k) and a gtx 980 and i can tell you if i switch HT off,i instantly get bottlenecks in several games like far cry4, gta 5, ac unity

Hello,
This is a really good rig, and ready to rock ^^
But i don't like the case (My opinion) and i think you should take an other PSU.
I have the CX600M too and I'm not that happy with it because of the "electric sound" and heat.

Sorry for my english, I'm french.
