Hey guys, this is my first build so I want to make sure everything will work together that I've picked out. I already have the Case, PSU, and GPU. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Okay then, I redid it.
I removed the cooler since the i5 7500 comes with one, it should be enough for you and added in a 120 gig SSD, again to OS and a few games to improve loading times.
And I also added in 16 GB of RAM, you'll need to spend a bit extra.

And also by beginners, I mean kind of easy to put together. Idk if any build is like that though.

Yeah, I've owned it for about 2 years.

well, its a good build but if you are going to be getting the I5 7500 CPU then you will have to get windows 10 because windows 7 is not supported with that CPU. some people managed to install it but its hard to do

Okay so here's what I suggest:
1. Super expensive case, at least for that budget, you should save on it and get some other components.
2. Overkill power supply, yes I know the 7970 is power hungry but the PSU you went with is still way too big, unless you plan crossfiring in the future it will be useless.
3. Why Windows 7? It's very expensive and isn't even supported on Kaby Lake. You can find Windows 10 way cheaper anyway and it's better for gaming.
With that being said, I've reassembled the build and added:
1. Faster and unlocked processor which will allow you to overclock and push your CPU to the limits.
2. Faster RAM and 16 GB now.
3. Added in an SSD allowing you to store Windows in it and a few games, which will improve loading and boot times

That would be great, and I probably would have done that, but I already have the case and the psu. So what I really need to find is a cpu, mobo, hard drive, and ram. All that under 400 bucks would be good. Forget about the OS, I have an installation of both that I can use and I just added win 7 because I like it more.
Also, not really interested in overclocking. So if it would be cheaper to get a mobo and cpu that doesn't support that feature, I'd be fine with it.
