is this any good

That's fine. and you don't need a 3rd party cpu cooler (since you can't overclock the cpu on that motherboard)

and you can throw that money towards a better gpu (you can probably get a 7870 ghz edition).

And AMD right now is usually better price/performance than Nvidia. their drivers are no longer shitty lol.

If you are on a tight budget consider that your video card is far more than you would need for your monitor resolution.

A 7770 or a 560Ti would still be overkill. Do you need ram and a HD?

he might as well get it.... it would make his computer at least futureproof and upgradable later on (he would just upgrade to a quad core later)

not with a card higher than an entry level gpu (above a 7770); once you get a bigger card the i3 pulls away.

going back to your OP

if you can get the 660 that would be great for gaming on a larger (1080) screen when/if you upgrade. but the 7850 would be enough for what you have now (1024).
just get some 1600 ram you you will be good to go . . . well, what PSU are you using?

well, i'll spare you the "quality" PSU speech.

you're set as far as power; no graphics card with an i3 will need more power than that.
