What do you all think of this build? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wTCj78
The case I want to get is the Fractal Design Torrent Compact (https://www.newegg.com/black-fractal-design-torrent-compact-atx-mid-tower/p/N82E16811352149) but it was not showing up in PCPartPicker, so I listed it here.
As for the GPU, I'll probably go with either the RTX 4080 or RX 7900 XTX depending on what reviews say about the RX 7900 XTX when reviews come out for it.
I will use this computer for programming, VR gaming(racing sims, space sims, and other VR games), 4K gaming, and maybe working in the Unity game engine.
My budget is $2000-$3000 USD.

Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on how to improve this build?
Thanks in advance!

i don't see any obvious mistakes. the only thing i'd not bother with is the expensive m.2 drive. pcie 4 gives so little real world gains, that it is a waste really. you can save a bit and go with a 3.0 m.2 drive.

otherwise solid choices. i'm sure we could nickle and dime it to death but i'd not be ashamed to have that in my house :)

whichever gpu you end up with won't be upset either.

Thanks for the suggestions. I went ahead and bought the case you suggested. I haven't decided on an SSD yet. I know that PCIe 3.0 is plenty for gaming at the moment, but I was considering the advantages of PCIe 4.0 in the future as DirectStorage is hopefully implemented by more games. I want this computer to last for a long time.
