You can get cheaper ram, and you should spend more on the graphics card than the cpu.

Yeah sorry about that, first time poster. What gpu would you recommend ? I was looking at the R9 290x, but decided with 270x cause it was cheaper. I want to keep it in the $800 range

The r9 290 often goes on sale for 250-300 so its a really good card at that price.
