Just making sure I'm not screwing myself with a bad build, being that this is my first. I'm trying to stick with a blue and black color scheme and any money I can save would also be nice. Don't be too harsh on me if things aren't compatible or sensible, and I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Gaming and school(lol). Anything from witcher 3 to league of legends, and future games, with decently high settings at 1080p 60 fps. What would you recommend for a cpu, I would go intel but it's so much more money

A dual channel RAM kit
Better cpu cooler
twice the size of SSD and faster too
Overclock the FX 8320 using AMD 's catalyst software . Very easy . Very safe and you can get FX 8350 and more

If you need to cut the price back a bit then substitute the mb for this
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-ga970aud3p
Then the total cost is $918 , but you are limited to only one graphics card . No crossfire or SLI . Other than that performance is the same

Here's an Intel (Haswell build) that will give you much more gaming horse-power for only a few bucks more that shows a better cooler and SSD:

Motherboard is subjective as it has mixed reviews btw, but is a starting point as Z97 boards can be had for reasonable prices.

The 8350 and 8320 are identical hardware with one being set to run faster than the other . Thats the only difference . [ intel does the same thing ] . You save by buying the cheaper one and then letting the software reset the speed .

Most cases have molex connectors for the fans so they plug directly into the power supply and not the motherboard

this a better revision?

Except new power supplies hardly ever have molex plugs. Might have to use adapters from 3 pin to SATA, or 3 pin to molex to SATA if the motherboard doesn't have enough headers. 8350 and 8320 are binned differently, not every 8320 runs at 4+ Ghz, just like not every 8350 runs at 4.6+. I'd recommend against either at this point in time, new near top of the line I5/I7 are much cheaper than they were a few years ago. Also the AMD chips are a lot more particular about what RAM will run at 1866 with them (not that it is any benefit over 1600 for this arch).
