Is this a good build?

I recently purchased a few upgrades for my aging PC to give it some life for new games. All told my upgrades were $320 since I hit up some Memorial Day sales. My new specs:

- Athlon II x4 @ 3.0Ghz
- Biostar 765G HD Mobo
- 8GB Ram @ 1066Mhz (upgrade)
- 1TB WD Black
- 2TB WD Green
- 3TB Seagate 7200rpm (upgrade)
- Sapphire R9 270 OC (upgrade)
- Corsair 750M CX PSU (upgrade)

So, will this hold me for awhile or should I upgrade my CPU too? I worry about it bottlenecking in higher end games.

That Athlon would be a serious bottleneck. What would your budget be for a CPU/MOBO combo? There's not much you can do with your current mobo.

It'll take me a bit but I can probably get a $200 budget for a Mobo + CPU combo. What would you recommend in that price range? I'm not set on sticking with AMD even though that's all I've had for 5+ years.

No microcenter unfortunately. I do have 3 Best Buy locations but their prices are crap and they don't carry processors in stores here anyway. I typically use:

1. Newegg
2. Amazon
3. Tiger Direct

I guess I am blessed by having a micro center like 10min away from my house!
The FX 6300 should do you good, but if you want some futureproofing, check out the Haswell i3 CPUs, as they will be compatible with the Devils Canyon and Broadwell Intel parts. I'm at work now, buy I'll post back later with some links to that.

I would cut a bit of the storage, its a bit excessive, and then use that money to go for a better processor. Good luck

Well, the upgrades have already all been purchased. I should have mentioned that specifically.
