First time builder here! I'm planning on doing heavy gaming, on a 1080p monitor at first, but then move up to a 4k when prices drop. Is this a good build? Or should I opt for a 980?

Solution
I don't see going with the i5 4690k and adding a $100 cpu cooler when you could get the i7 4790k for the same price that already comes running 4.4ghz out of the box with a warranty. They'll end up clocked the same in the end, but you'd have hyperthreading for free with the i7.
