I'm not too good with putting things like this together, is this good for gaming in 1080p at max settings for the next 3-5 years. (If not tell me what i did wrong or if it's everything, i have a budget of about £1300, no higher!). Also is there anything else needed for a pc to function?

You want a solid PSU with that build; my vote goes to the EVGA Supernova G2 650w (80+ Gold) for £69.

If you only use this system for gaming, I'd also suggest the following changes:

CPU: i5-6600k (£190)
Cooler: Corsair H80i (£80)
Motherboard: MSI Z170-A Krait (£105)
RAM: 8GB (2x4) Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3000 (£50)

Why?

- CPU: Because for gaming, an i7 still isnt worth the money over the best i5. They just don't give enough FPS to warrant the money. The 6600k gives the same performance in games as the 4790k.

- Cooler: The H80i will give better temps than your current cooler, meaning higher overclocks and more CPU performance.

- Motherboard: The same as the Z97, but the Z170 platform gives you support for the new M.2 PCI-e SSD's for future upgrades as well as supporting DDR4 RAM.

- RAM: 8GB is still more than enough for gaming right now. You rarely see any game go near 6GB let alone 8GB, so 16GB is still massively overkill and probably will be for a long time. The DDR4 3000mhz is also faster than your currently selected
